This week’s times tables practice involves using our knowledge of multiplication and division. We will each create fact families for the times tables we have been working on in class.

Year 3 have been looking closely at the 3 times table so will create fact families for each of the 12 facts (1-12)

Year 4 have been looking closely at the 6 times table so will create fact families for each of the 12 facts (1-12)

In each family, there will be eight facts. Here’s an example  for if we were looking at the 2 times table. This is one of our 12 fact families.

5 x 2 = 10                  10 ÷ 2 = 5

2 x 5 = 10                  10 ÷ 5 = 2

10 = 5 x 2                  5 = 10 ÷ 2

10 = 2 x 5                  2 = 10 ÷ 5
