This week is Me and My Money themed week in school.
In KS1 we have been learning about what money is, where it comes from and how we can be responsible with it. We discussed the difference between things that we might want and things that we need to buy. We also discussed the value of money and how certain things cost more than others.
We have also been practising handling money and recognising different coins.
We read a story called ‘It’s a no money day’ by Kate Milner.
Penny trail Friday 7th
Each class have been collecting 1 and 2ps throughout the week. A trail will be created using all the money brought in later today.
School charity
Each class took part in a democratic vote. We discussed 5 potential school charities and each class voted for one. The chosen charity will be announced by JLT in assembly this afternoon.
