Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

In science, Year 5/6 have been exploring friction. This week, children took to the playground to explore the effects of air resistance. While our quick experiement might have had some limitations, we all agreed that we could feel the drag.
