Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This week, we made string telephones to help us understand that sound travels in a series of vibrations.
We used paper cups and some string, but our investigation would work with empty yoghurt pots if you’d like to try this at home.
