| This week, we’ve been learning how to spell words with unusual graphemes: que and gue. These words are tricky because they sound different to how they’re written. Practise these words at home in a way that suits you best.

Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.
