Year 5/6 have been creating their own classification keys this week about sweets. They generated questions based on the similarities and differences between the different types of sweets. The concept of a classification key came from Carl Linnaeus, who created a system of classifying plants and animals, called Systema Naturae. He put them into the groups that are still used today. He classified things according to their similarities and differences.
