| This week, we’ve been learning how the ‘oa’ sound can be spelled in lots of different ways. For example, in the word ‘Joe’, the letters ‘oe’ make the ‘oa’ sound but in the word ‘slow’ it’s the letters ‘ow’.

Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.
