Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

We are using the book Amazing Grace, by Mary Hoffman, in our reading and writing lessons. It is all about a girl who is told she can’t be certain things – but she doesn’t let this stop her.
