This half term, we’ve been chemists. We’ve been learning about materials, their properties and which material is used for what and why.
This week we tested the absorbency of different materials.
We learnt that,
Absorb means when a liquid is taken in my a material.
We predicted, then tested, the absorbency of a tissue, kitchen roll, paper and a plastic bag. Some materials absorbed quicker than others but the plastic didn’t absorb the water at all.
