Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

We are enjoying repeatedly reading our class novel, Naughty Bus by Jan and Jerry Oke, and using it to inspire our reading and writing lessons too. The real photos and way the words are printed in the book has ignited lots of interesting discussions.
