This week our Living and Learning statement was I respect my community and other communities.
As part of our community week, we have learned more about the World Peace Flame being in Scholes village and have helped raise funds to keep the flame burning by producing cards that could be sold in the village.
We all read The Rainbow Fish By Marcus Pfister. We thought about our identity in the community and how it is important to always be kind. We learned that by sharing we can be part of the community and not feel sad and lonely like The Rainbow Fish.
Finally, today we let the children take over parts of our school day. Some children did a wonderful job of leading dancing in our PE lesson. Others led the assembly to read out who had earned a certificate in golden assembly.
It was lovely to see all the children dressed in clothes that represented their identity today. We saw outfits ranging from go-kart racers to princesses.
