This half term, we are geographers.
We are studying the Earth’s physical features (rivers, mountains etc) and the human features (buildings, roads etc).
Our topic is: Where in the World am I?
As part of this topic, we’ve been studying land use – the specific purpose an area of land is used for.
Over the last two weeks, we’ve been out into Scholes to find out about the land use in our local area. We had great fun exploring!
We found that the land in our local area is used for the following things…
– agriculture
– transport
– recreational
– commercial
Here are some pictures of our geographers conducting their fieldwork.
Help at home by discussing what the land is used for in the local area.
Have a great half term!
