Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

Year 2 have been looking at fiction and non-fiction books, finding similarities and differences.
We found that a title, introduction, sub-headings, real photos or diagrams, a contents page and an index page were all common in non-fiction (information) books.
