Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This page is for our children - advice to help you to stay safe and be a happy and healthy person.
Our topic this half-term is Geography – Explorers.
We have been learning about the 7 continents and 5 oceans. We’ve used Google Earth to locate these and find out different facts, such as that The Pacific is the largest ocean.
We’ve also learnt about the Equator and how Earth is divided into two hemispheres. We used balloons and balls as a model Earth to demonstrate our knowledge.
Help at home by asking your child if they can name all 7 continents. This is a great song to help remember them!
