Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This page is for our children - advice to help you to stay safe and be a happy and healthy person.
This week in maths, we’ve been learning all about decimals—especially how to recognise tenths and hundredths as a decimal. We explored how 1/10 is the same as 0.1 and 1/100 is the same as 0.01. We used number lines and place value charts to help us understand. The classes did a fantastic job connecting their knowledge of fractions to decimals. Well done, everyone!
