Scholes (Elmet) Primary is a ‘one and a half form entry’ school. This means we take up to 45 pupils each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This Maths unit is all about money in Year 1. First of all, we learned how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. After this, we learnt about 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p. We know how to identify them and know that each amount can be made using different coins.
