The Enormous Crocodile
We will be reading and using Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile as a focus for our learning over the next 2 weeks. If you have a copy, you could read it at home or watch a video of the story.
Living and Learning – Friends and Family
This week we have been talking about relationships, families and friends. We quickly learnt that everyone’s are different! We enjoyed talking about who is in our family and what makes a good friend. We drew our family – there were mums, dads, dogs, fish and grumpy grampys! Help at home by talking about how everyone’s family is different.
Scholes Gala and Scholes in Bloom
Please come and support our Skipping Crew and WUSU Crew at Scholes Gala this Saturday, 9 June 2018. We would also like as many children as possible to visit the planting stall. Children can take them home, look after them and then bring the plants and join us on judging day for Britain in Bloom on 6 August 2018 at 10am outside school. Scholes in Bloom are going for gold this year!
Walk to School Week winners
We had hundreds of raffle tickets in the box. Well done to all those who walked, scooted or rode bikes to school before the holidays. The Buffers car park was busy all week. Here are the prize winners. Let’s keep walking!

1K have been developing their computing skills. They have created algorithms both off and online.
Teddy Bear’s Picnic
What a terrific ted-tastic day we had. The sun shone, the bears came, the picnic was tasty and we all had a wonderful day!
Living and Learning – I know how to keep money safe
The children had lots to contribute during our discussions about money! We played a game which helps children learn how to keep their money safe.
You can help at home by talking about where money comes from and how we can keep it safe.
Walk to School Week 21-25 May 2018
Lots of children have been walking to school this week. The raffle box is getting full. The draw will be made on Friday 25th May (lots of lovely prizes to choose from) so remember to bring your tickets to school so they go in the box. Thank you to The Buffers for allowing us to use their car park so children can walk at least 0.5km to school, even if they live further away!
