Posted on Monday 11 May 2020 by Mrs Latham

Part of our home learning post today was a request for a photo of yourself, a drawing, picture or message to add to a Year 1 and 2 slideshow we are making. We can’t wait to share how everyone is. Please send your photo to Mrs Lake : natalielake@spherefederation.org

It has been another amazing week of home learning! It was great to see so many of you practically making halves of shapes, objects and amounts.

Keep it coming…lovely home learning

We have had lots of photos and emails this week, thank you! The money task has been very popular, playing shops is a great way to use addition and subtraction in real life; adding items together and working out change. Younger and older siblings have also joined in. Writing messages to each other is also a great way to stay connected – some were even delivered, spreading happiness all around!

Letters to those we love and much more

Posted on Wednesday 29 April 2020 by Mrs Latham

One of our home learning tasks this week was to write a note, letter or postcard to someone. A purpose for writing is so important and the writing is always great when it is for a real audience.

We also loved this video book review.

The maths learning has been all about money. Playing shops is a fun way to learn about this – great work, everyone!

And finally, try to watch this without a tear in your eye…

It’s all about the money, money!

We’ve had some fabulous emails about the home learning today. Everyone has been positive about the video lessons that the teachers are starting to make. Watch out for more as the week goes on.

We’ve seen some super learning about money. Counting and knowing how much money you have is a very important life skill!

We also have a budding radio presenter too. Listen to her awesome presenting skills.

The notes and letters are lovely too. Keeping in touch is so important at this difficult time.
