Happy and healthy home learning
We pride ourselves on being a happy and healthy place to learn when we are at school. One of our recent tasks has been thinking about how to stay healthy – particularly important at this difficult time. We’ve had some lovely posters that children have designed.
We have also enjoyed seeing the practical maths learning all about fractions. Cutting into thirds was tricky!
We love seeing your creative sides too. Tie-dye is a great skill to learn. What a fab t-shirt!
Year 1 and Year 2 slideshow
Hello everyone,
Thank you for continuing to send us photos of all your fabulous home learning. We love seeing everything you have been doing and we are very proud of you all. We have put together this slideshow of some of the wonderful things you have been doing along with photos you have sent in to make us all smile.
Enjoy!
Super reading
It was lovely to receive these two videos showing children reading. Please keep reading any chance you get!
Photos and messages for a Year 1 & 2 slideshow
Part of our home learning post today was a request for a photo of yourself, a drawing, picture or message to add to a Year 1 and 2 slideshow we are making. We can’t wait to share how everyone is. Please send your photo to Mrs Lake : natalielake@spherefederation.org
Sending a Hug
Keeping in touch with family and friends is really important. Have you spoke on the phone, sent a letter or had a video chat with them?
Have you sent a hug?
Check out this great way of sending a lifesize hug!
Home Learning
It has been another amazing week of home learning! It was great to see so many of you practically making halves of shapes, objects and amounts.
Fabulous fractions, time, maps, poems and VE Day preparations
We have seen some great learning this week. All about fractions, time, maps, poems and super VE Day celebrations.
A great video explanation all about 2 equal groups.
Keep it coming…lovely home learning
We have had lots of photos and emails this week, thank you! The money task has been very popular, playing shops is a great way to use addition and subtraction in real life; adding items together and working out change. Younger and older siblings have also joined in. Writing messages to each other is also a great way to stay connected – some were even delivered, spreading happiness all around!

Letters to those we love and much more
One of our home learning tasks this week was to write a note, letter or postcard to someone. A purpose for writing is so important and the writing is always great when it is for a real audience.
We also loved this video book review.
The maths learning has been all about money. Playing shops is a fun way to learn about this – great work, everyone!
And finally, try to watch this without a tear in your eye…
